Francois Pralus

A small family-run chocolate factory in Roanne, near Lyon, France, founded in 1955 by Auguste Pralus. Its Praluliné chocolates have become a popular local speciality. It produces an extensive range of excellent single origin chocolates.

The chocolates come from various plantations around the world: Brazil, Caracas, Chuao, Colombia, Cuba, Cuyagua, Djakarta, Ecuador, Ghana, Indonesia, Madagascar, Mélissa, Papua, Dominican Republic, Sao Tomé and Principe, Tanzania, Trinidad and Venezuela. In addition, it also owns a plantation in north-west Madagascar, where it plants highly aromatic cocoa trees of the Criollo variety.
