One of the chocolate company's founders, Mr. Vincent Mourou, left his job as a senior marketing executive in 2010 to travel from San Francisco to Vietnam. In Saigon, he met Samuel Maruta and his family. While camping together in a jungle, they had the idea of making chocolate. They visited a plantation in Ba Ria Province and, equipped only with a blender, an oven and tin moulds, began making their first bars in Sam's kitchen. And Marou Fraiseurs de Chocolat was born.
